Policy
Statement for Mobile Crisis Services
The
Mobile Crisis Services (MCS) is a voluntary program for all people
residing in Jefferson County. MCS will respond to calls directly
received from individuals. Agencies may refer individuals to MCS;
however, referring agents will be directed to give the MCS number
to individuals in order to activate an intervention. MCS cannot
respond unless the individual or responsible party requests an
intervention. Exceptions will be made for police or emergency services
personnel (i.e.; NYS Police, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Dept.,
local police, fire departments, etc.) who contact MCS while at
a scene.
