Available in St. Lawrence County for children through trained private families. Respite care provides temporary care for a child to allow relief to the primary care giver. Respite allows situations to stabilize and prevents hospitalizations and/or longer term placements out of the home. Respite is not a substitute for hospitalization or other secure care.
